Dumbarton and Berwick were fairly evenly matched today but clearly they scored twice and we didn't. The first half was dreadful. One moment of pace from the home side's right back brought about the first goal. Berwick were a different side in the second half and put Dumbarton under pressure for most of the half with some nice attractive football but there was little sign of breaking down a defence that hasn't conceded since the end of September. Against the run of play they got a second, again the lad took his chance well. Berwick didn't give up. David Greenhill did a good job today I thought. Wood had an effort ruled out for offside and McLaughlin might have done better when through on the keeper.
